The Construction Safety Group of Kansas City (CSGKC) was organized in 1991 by a group of pioneering Safety Professionals who wanted to improve construction safety in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.  The group is made up of professionals from the construction industry, contractor trade associations, insurance industry, governmental agencies and suppliers.

Currently the group if approximately 95 members strong with an elected governing board with meetings scheduled for the First Wednesday of each month.  Generally, these meetings are held at the Builder's Association Training Center in North Kansas City, Missouri.

Membership is limited to those individuals who have an active responsibility for safety in their respective construction-related company.  Vendors and Insurance Companies have limited enrollment which is voted on by the Executive Board Members.

This year's Golf Tournament was held on Friday, September 9th at Winterstone Golf Course in Independence, MO. The tournament raised $5,250 for the UCM Students pursuing Occupational Safety & Health Degrees. Thank you to all participants and sponsors. Without your help this would nopt be possible!

Dear Colleagues: I would like to thank those members who attended our last meeting at the Bushnell Offices in Overland Park for the presentation from Bolle on the new type of Safety Glasses. A special thanks to Kim for the many samples of the glasses and Mark Damon for his help and the donation of the high vis jacket that was raffled off. A reminder to all that this year’s membership dues and update forms are DUE NOW and dues are the same amount as last year. These may be mailed or brought to this meeting. Any questions concerning membership please contact one of the current officers, and try to get this paid as soon as possible. The next meeting will NOT be on the first Wednesday, but will be with the ASSE and held on Monday, February 13th at 12:00 pm. The speaker will be Randall Gammill of Connell Insurance. He is an authority on Missouri Work Compensation and the Experience Modifier Calculation and an excellent presenter. He will address methods to lower your company EMR.
